About Us

We believe the Bible to be the only Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is our only authoritative rule for faith and practice. It is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creed, and opinion shall be tried and is the standard of and for all truth.

Good Will Message

From Mot. Kpanah – Proprietress

Dear Faculty, staff, parents, and students of the New Destiny Christian High School. With gratitude, I greet you with a sincere and honest heart, firstly to God Almighty and to each of you as we celebrate the successful end of one academic year and usher in another. My family and I are pleased that those who continue to choose our school are preparing to enroll for the next academic year which renders this information booklet necessary.

As we usher in the academic year 2022/2023, I call on all parents, guardians, teachers, and students, to sustain the gains made and together find solutions to the challenges as we face them. Please let us work together because our strength lies in our unity.

Paynesville, you have chosen New Destiny Christian High School as your home away from home to continue your academic journey of learning and service.

To the parents of our students, teachers, and guardians, I am humbled and gratified by your decision that, among many schools in and around

Rev. Karpilee and I built this school to help less fortunate children receive sound education at a minimum cost. In memory of my husband, my hero, I am renewing my commitment to that dream by the grace of God and through the support of our family and friends.

I extend a special invitation to parents, guidance, teachers, and students to cooperate with and support each other in upholding the wishes and dreams of one who loved us a1I and worked so hard to build a school and church to nurture the whole person.

I am not in a position to make promises, but I can assure you that we are going to work and improve the standard of the school in all areas of the discipline. We are going to provide those things that were to be set up by my late husband in time to come, but we can only promise you a good and clean learning environment for a better tomorrow.

Welcome to the academic year 2022/2023. May God bless you and keep you safe as you prepare for another year of committed service as faculty and staff, parents, guardians, and students.

With Joy in the Service of the Lord,

Mother Kpanah Mulbah Karpilee and children

Brief History of the School

The school was established by Rev. John K. Karpilee and his beautiful wife. Mother Kpanah Mulbah Karpilee. in April 2001. The school began operating firstly under the name, “Educational Foundation for All Children,” in a building adjacent to the Isaac A. David School. As time went by, and seeing the growing number of children desirous of entering the school, the Vision Bearer quickly saw the need for improvements. He got in touch with Mother Victoria Marsh, who then offered him permission to renovate and use her building to transfer his school. This facility is adjacent to the Charles J. S. Young Assembly of God Mission School. Under this arrangement, and in appreciation of this kind gesture by Mother Marsh. the school’s name was changed to “J. Chauncey Good-ridge Jr. Memorial High School”, in honor of her late son. In no time, the school was upgraded to a full Junior High School with a huge enrollment of one thousand two hundred students (1,200) and ran two sessions to accommodate the growing number of students around the Paynesville community.

As the quest for education continued to rise in the City of Paynesville, an appeal came from parents, guardians, and the general public that the school is upgraded to a full high school to continue with students leaving the Junior High. Based on the many appeals from the public, the proprietor was again deeply touched in 2009 to embark on another project in erecting a spacious building for the Junior and Senior High divisions called the “J. Chauncey Goodridge Jr. Memorial Senior High School, Annex-1“, located in Gbarboe Town, ELWA Road, Paynesville City. With the help of God, the building was completed, the junior and senior high divisions were transferred and operations commenced in September of the same year.  In 2013, the school began to encounter problems over the need to change its name from “J. Chauncey Goodridge Jr. Memorial Senior High School, the name given by Mot. Victoria Marsh in memory of her late son. The conflict created was not healthy as it could hinder the growth and development of the school if not handled carefully.

Two schools bearing the same name under different founders were deemed incorrect or inappropriate. Therefore, in 2015, the decision was reached by the school authorities to officially inform all parents, guardians, and the public that beginning the 2015/2016 school year, the school would no longer be called “J. Chauncey Goodridge Jr. Memorial Senior High School.” The new name, “New Destiny Christian High School,” was given to the school from that time to the present.

It is with heavy and sorrowful hearts that we recall the home-going of the Rev. John K. Karpilee, Founder and Proprietor of this School on March 6, 2017, in the United States of America.

As we pray for the repose of his soul, we invite family, friends, and lovers of a sound education to demonstrate our love and appreciation of his outstanding commitment to the service of God. Let us pray for his widow, Mot. Kpanah Mulbah Karpilee as she assumes the role of the headship of this institution.

As mother Karpilee says, with God and determined minds, all things are possible. As we work together to foster the Karpilee’s dreams, the New Destiny Christian High School will continue to excel to the glory of God.

Remember, “Life destined-is powered by sound education.
